Harlene D. Simmons lives in Massachusetts with her husband Jeff. She is a Reiki Master/Teacher at a Wellness Center. She worked in a Senior Living Facility where she did Life Enrichment Programs with residents. She always wanted to write a children’s story that contained a moral, would be inspirational and unforgettable. Being an energy healer, I help people deal with change and fear of it. This is what inspired me to write this storyline.

This story is about Frankie, a caterpillar, who is afraid to change into a butterfly. He goes on a journey to find answers and what happens when change occurs, he meets another caterpillar name Bonnie and she helps him. The contents of this story contain change, fear of change, adventure and most importantly FRIENDSHIP.

Thank you for reading my book. Please enjoy, I’m sure it will put a smile on you and your child’s face!

“A Scared Caterpillar Going Through Change

The lifecycle of a butterfly is quite a fascinating and interesting one. They start as an egg and grow into a wiggly caterpillar. In their lifetime, they go through a lot of changes that we can learn a lot of things from them. Their life imparts the lesson of changing as a necessity and fully accepting it to unlock your full potential and your hidden gifts and beauty. This is exactly what the book “Frankie the Caterpillar” brings to the table. It is a book about friendship and going through changes together. This is the message brought about by the author, Harlene Simmons.

The book follows the story of a caterpillar named, Frankie. Frankie is afraid of the day that he finally turns into a butterfly. He is unsure of what will happen after he transforms. On his journey, he finds another caterpillar named Bonnie who he befriends and she promised to be with him every step of the way so he wouldn’t be afraid. They both meet an angel butterfly named, Twinkle, who helps them with their journey until they become beautiful and colorful butterflies as they explore the world and make new friends.

The book is indeed very entertaining and will be fun and educational for kids and adults. It also comes with creative illustrations in very vivid colors. The book will subconsciously instill the value of friendship in kids and also teach them to be receptive and unafraid of changes. The book is also written using simple words that are easy to read and understand making it very conducive to a child’s learning.

So, don’t miss out on the opportunity of a great gift. Give the gift of learning this holiday season. Make it a bonding experience for you and your children. Together, let the book teach you and your kids, that change is inevitable.”
