“Author and Activist Dr. Booker T. Williams Reveals a Piece of Himself in an Anthology on Life, Current Events, and Racial Injustices

In his latest book, “Poems from My Soul,” Dr. Booker T. Williams, a Doctor of Education, a degree holder in Organizational Leadership, and author of “The Ugly Color of Race in America Continues,” which speaks out against systemic oppression of black people, opens up his head, heart, and soul.

“Poems from My Soul” is an anthology that explores current events such as the rife social injustices, human connections, self-identification, and other topics.

The anthology is a gift to anybody who takes the time to read it and think about the author’s life. The poems are his means of conveying a point of view that will, in some way, resonate with the audience. He hopes that every reader enjoys his ideas on life and everything in-between as much as he enjoys writing them.

The work interacts with readers through genuine emotions and a profound lyrical writing style. The insightful views of Dr. Williams encourage a state of contemplation in which the soul is gently compelled to think on each word enshrined in the book’s pages. It nourishes the soul because it’s a blend of real-life events and personal realizations. Furthermore, the topics that talk about social injustices and racial discrimination are the ones that carry the most weight. It provokes dissent and discourages apathy, making every reader realize that silence against racism, is just racism in the guise of cowardice.
