Born in the beautiful island of Jamaica, West Indies, Dr. Wint graduated from the Kingston Technical High School, before attending The Kings College in New York where he studied to become an English teacher. Upon receiving his BA in English, he pursued the MA at New York University and followed up with a Doctorate in Education at Hofstra University. He achieved success and fame as an outstanding educator in New York by solving reading problems. With a very busy schedule in his profession, he found time to preach and teach the Word of God in ten different churches in New York City. He has preached on Radio Jamaica and has worked with the Billy Graham Crusade team in New York.

Secrets of a Happy Marriage says exactly what the title means: a marriage that is happy, and a marriage made in heaven. 

With divorce so rampant today, it is rare to find happily married couples with 50 years of love. 

The book begins with the six Greek words that define love. It moves to Joye’s story in Jamaica, then Joe’s story in beautiful Jamaica, then their marriage story in New York. Stories of the children at Harvard and Cornell Universities are also included. The adventures of Joe and Joye are highlighted as they travel to London, Scotland, Rome, South Africa. They topped off their travels with a cruise on the Queen Elizabeth, the world’s most glamorous ship. 

The heart of the book focuses on one verse of scripture: “Husbands, love your wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her”Eph.5:25. Joe’s response to that command is “How can I, a sinful man, love my wife as Christ loved the church? That is a question that sincere men ask themselves. The answer you are seeking is in this book.
