Jack Lin is truly a renaissance man. He is knowledgeable in the following fields, and the fields are engineering, business, psychology and mysticism. And as written books and white papers on the subject. He started his education at Brooklyn Technical High School Aeronautics course. He received a BS degree from the Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering.
During his school years, he was in the civil air patrol, and for 5 years served as a beach lifeguard during the summers. He rescued dozens of swimmers during his watch.
He served as an officer in the United States Air Force, both as aircraft maintenance officer and as the base provost martial from 1954 to 1964 both active duty and the reserved.
After his active duty in the Airforce, he went to work with several large aerospace companies. First, as an aeronautic engineer, then, as an assistant chief engineer and finally an aerospace chief engineer. He received an M.B.A. degree from the USC. He continued to study at UCLA extension to learn liberal arts in courses such in, archeology, history, philosophy and psychology. He also took courses with Helen Moss and Quantum Mechanics. He did research on Karelian photography and fire walking.
He took interest in Eastern Concepts and studied Buddhism for 9 years and was offered to become a Buddhist monk. He received a master’s degree in transpersonal psychology from the University of Oriental Studies. He is an active meditator.
He continued his professional aerospace career becoming the founder of United Education in Software and with a partner founded in National Technical Systems (NTS) which today is the leading aerospace testing company. Both cooperation’s were public companies traded on NASD. He also served as a chief engineer, CEO, and Chairman for both companies.
During his 40-year career, he worked on every major NASA and Airforce project and several unique army and navy programs.
He had a significant input into the moon lander the space shuttle challenger disaster and rebuild. As an independent company NTS under Dr. Lin operated Lockheed Skunk Laboratory for 10 years.
He continued his personal understanding of mystical and hidden meaning of life by travelling to sacred places all over the earth from the North Pole to Katmandu, from the top Mount Sinai to Ayers Rock, from Ganges River to Xian China.
He continued his education and was offered a PHD from University of Oriental Studies and received a PHD and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. He was a founder of Makom Ohr Shalom. He was given the title of honorary grand Rabbi, by Rabbi Zelman head of the Alfa Movement.
He is married to Beth Lin for 45 years, has 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
He’s written three other books, Psychology of the American CEO, Divorce or Union, Vacationing with God.
Presently he is the president of the Smithway company a private national real estate company.
