William Hubbell was born in Michigan in 1947. In 1970, he lived among the hippies at Beaux Arts in Pinellas Florida. He has worked in the states of Michigan, Texas and Florida. In 2001, he adopted the pen name, Shagbark while writing edited articles for the website, h2g2 – The Guide to Life, The Universe and Everything

William lives on the space coast of Florida.
