“When Tables Turn
Teachers are builders of the future. They are assigned with one of the most crucial tasks in creating an effective generation who will one day take care of society. They teach, train, and develop their students so they can embrace their full potential. Therefore, teachers are superheroes in their own right. However, life is an adventure full of irony. The educators sometimes are the ones taught a lesson.
Such is the story of Noel Nation, and in his book, “The Education of a Teacher: Lessons a Small Town Taught a Teacher,” he will let us in on a memory he shared with a small town in Oklahoma.
This autobiography will account his life growing up and the circumstances that had led him to become an educator. Noel Nation was your typical kid who has a natural disdain for complicated and disorganized tasks. Growing up, his parents had nurtured him and continuously encouraged him to persevere no matter how hard the task is. He originally planned to become a doctor, but life has its way, and it redirected him. With a little push from his friends, he pursued Education and became a teacher.
The table had turned for him though. Early on in his career, he learned life lessons from a small town in Oklahoma. What was the lesson? How did it help Nation become the man he is?
Nation was able to reconcile the importance of his job and keeping an open mind to whatever twist life has set for you. He had shown resilience in the face of sudden changes and had persevered as to how his parents nurtured him.
Flip through the pages of Noel Nations life. Learn the lessons that had brought him further in life. Explore the real essence of becoming an educator through this book.”
