About the Author
Sandi Latimer is a long-time journalist, having started as area correspondent to her local newspaper (Bucyrus [Ohio] Telegraph-Forum) when she was in the eighth grade. She learned more about her chosen field at Kent State University where she earned a BS in broadcast journalism in 1965. She has worked in broadcasting, at an internationally known wire service, in medical communications and marketing, and now back to in local newspapers. She also served as Volunteer Coordinator of a large cemetery. Sandi was married to Red Latimer for 40 years. The first 27 of them were shared with toy poodles, which led to her writing Poodle Mistress. She and her boss at United Press International collaborated on Newsroom Buddies, about being friends while working together and after taking new jobs. She has also written a child’s book Bunny Bob: The Bumbling Easter Bunny. She is currently editing and revising a book about the death of her husband and how she was affected. She also facilitates a local writing group and assists in the high school journalism contest for National Federation of Press Women. She volunteers at an information and referral service and for tours at a stop on the Underground Railroad.
