Norma Vaughn Danzey earned a Master’s Degree in education and taught in the public schools for twenty-two years. She then began a new profession as an author. She writes both historical and contemporary novels.

Writing is something she has enjoyed since childhood, and she had written an entry in her diary about about how one day she was going to write and publish a book. Many years later, she found the diary entry and realized that she needed to fulfil her dream.

Wondering where to start, she picked up her Bible, opened it and read this scripture. “Now go, write it before them in a tablet and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and forever.”—Isaiah 30:8.

Parker Malone chooses bootlegging for the challenge and thrill of outrunning revenuers. Hiding the moonshine and staying out of jail is fuel for the fire.

Farms are being repossessed, jobs lost, people are homeless, and ingenuity is required to live. When Parker allows a flapper from one of the speakeasies talk to him into committing crimes, his fun comes to a screeching halt.

Ellie Brennen Malone lost her first love, Luke, due to family complications. Now she is concerned for her little girl and unborn baby. Should she give up her precious child so she can be safe?

Led by Ellie’s mother, the ladies of the temperance movement are determined to send the light to those bootleggers to buy, sell, haul the booze to the speakeasies. Can they do this without risking their reputations?

When Ellie discovers a heartbreaking betrayal, is her faith enough to see her through? A story about family, love, and secrets, set to the backdrop of jazz music, flappers and Model-T’s, also takes us back to the peaceful life on a farm.

Which will Ellie choose?

“The Series-ender of A Heart-warming Novel is Ready to Delight Everyone’s Hearts

The curtains for Norma Vaughn Danzey’s, The Roaring Twenties Series, is about to come to a close. In this series’ closer, she brings us, “Send the Light: A Roaring Twenties Novel Volume 3.” It is a bittersweet moment but will definitely bring delight to the hearts of her readers. The third novel will take us into the trenches of love, secrets, betrayal, and faith. Still following the story of the Brennen’s, Danzey narrates the story of Ellie Brennen, the eldest child of Millie and Henry Brennen. Danzey will transport us back to the Roaring Twenties, and to the time of Prohibition.

When her first marriage failed because of family complications, Ellie found herself clinging to a bootlegger in Parker Malone. Against her family’s better judgment, Ellie married Parker Malone, thinking that he could change and truly treat her right. However, things turned for the worse, and she saw Parker’s true colors.

Was Ellie indeed wrong for committing her life to Parker? Will he change for love? Can Ellie see the rainbow after the rain? Can her faith be bigger than her troubles?

Danzey epitomized a good and heartwarming ending. Staying true to her signature style, she will take us again into a twists-filled plot while enriching our faith in God and family. She will inculcate the virtue of forgiveness and trusting God over everything that we are going through. Danzey also reeled in a taste of history within the book. She will bring us back to the time of jazz, moonshine, speakeasies, and Model-T’s while traversing the practical applications of faith and prayer. Indeed, the series has remained in its faith-based roots.”
