Norma Vaughn Danzey earned a Master’s Degree in education and taught in the public schools for twenty-two years. She then began a new profession as an author. She writes both historical and contemporary novels.

Writing is something she has enjoyed since childhood, and she had written an entry in her diary about about how one day she was going to write and publish a book. Many years later, she found the diary entry and realized that she needed to fulfil her dream.

Wondering where to start, she picked up her Bible, opened it and read this scripture. “Now go, write it before them in a tablet and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and forever.”—Isaiah 30:8.

Robert Brennen is the son of a farmer living in Franklin, Tennessee during the 1920’s. Robert wants nothing more in life than to work the farm and help his family.

Will the Brennen family be able to keep their beloved farm after the stock market crash, or will the bank foreclose?

When the horse-drawn buggy Robert was driving went into the river, Robert and Polly swam out. Maude never did. Depression sweeps over him and his guilt increases when his sister’s fiancé takes a bullet meant for him.

Maude Lee doesn’t remember who she is. How does it feel when she is asked her name, and she can’t remember? Her mind plays tricks on her until she recognizes Polly. She remembers Albert, but why does she follow him around and bring him flowers?

Suddenly, evil and darkness overcome. Maude is taken away from her beautiful flower garden by force. When a miracle involving a black horse occurs, she finally escapes. Her memory returns but some of the puzzle pieces are missing.

Reunited with her parents who have moved to Mobile, Alabama, Maude meets Edwin. Will she find happiness with him, or will she find her future with her old love, Robert?

In The Garden is the sequel to Unclouded Day. Send The Light, the final Roaring Twenties novel, will conclude this series.

“The Second Volume of a Series of Faith Enriching Romance Novel is Set to Excite the Hearts and Minds

The mind will forget, but the heart will not. Norma Vaughn Danzey is back with the second volume of her Roaring Twenties series. This time, she presents a tale of love, separation, and coming back home in her book, “In the Garden: The Roaring Twenties (Volume 2).” Norma Vaughn Danzey will take us back into the household of the Brennen’s. This time, she had weaved the story of Polly’s brother, Robert, and his unyielding love for Mona. She has not spared any creative element and poured everything she can into this book.

Mona had suffered from an accident when the buggy she was in with her parents went into the river. Everyone thought she had drowned, but she didn’t. The accident had affected her memory though and this is how the plot thickened. With an aura of mystery, Danzey will lead the readers in a labyrinth of questions. She had successfully created twists that are as exciting as the first volume. She had also remained true to her writing style, by infusing faith-based scenes that will surely renew and strengthen the faith of readers. Character and scene development is also kept at an excellent level. Her descriptive writing will provide a mental image of how the characters look, while her playful description of the scenes will let you in on the character’s perspective.

Volume two lived up to the expectation set by “Unclouded Day.” Norma Vaughn Danzey did a great job reconciling the two volumes, making it two different plots, but one continuous story. She had kept the elements of romance, loss, and faith which is slowly becoming a signature of her works.

Overall, the first two volumes are very well-written and will certainly make you look forward to the third and final volume.”
